Alert Distributing shall have no liability for failure to deliver or for delay in delivery, due to any cause outside the control of Alert Distributing Inc. The liability of the carrier constitutes transport of property with reasonable dispatch and delivery within a reasonable time.
Alert Distributing makes every effort to ensure all shipments are properly packaged for safe travel. Shipments should be thoroughly inspected before signing by the consignee (customer) for damage. If damage is visible, the consignee must contact Alert Distributing immediately for how to proceed. All damage must be noted on the bill of lading and pictures will be required. All damage, visible or concealed, must be reported to Alert Distributing within 30 days of the date the product was received by the customer.
Upon receiving a shipment, all orders should be inspected for accuracy. If there are any discrepancies, such as incorrect items, missing items or inaccurate quantities, the consignee has 10 business days to report the discrepancy to Alert Distributing.
Alert Distributing reserves the right to bill actual freight charges in situations where the customer request is outside the normal shipment & delivery procedures such as expedited freight, re-consignment, by appointment deliveries, etc.
Third-party/Collect Freight Claims:
When freight is not billed through Alert Distributing, all freight claims must be handled by the billing party. If the freight needs to be replaced, a new purchase order needs to be submitted to Alert Distributing.
All return requests must be made within 30 days of delivery and approved in advance by Alert Distributing. Alert Distributing may request photos of the product prior to approving the return. Once approved, Alert Distributing will issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). All RMAs will be closed if the product is not received within 30 days. Products must be returned in original shipping cartons with proper packaging in place and be in re-sellable condition. Once Alert Distributing receives the returned product, an inspection will take place and a credit will be issued within 2 business days. If returned items are damaged, missing parts or in lessor condition, additional charges will be deducted from the credit.
Buyer’s Remorse or Orders Made in Error
If items are no longer needed, the customer is responsible for all shipping charges. If Alert Distributing needs to coordinate the return with a label or freight pick up, freight charges will be deducted from the credit once the product is returned and inspected.
Manufacturer or Alert Distributing Error
If an error is made by the manufacturer or Alert Distributing, return freight will be arranged by Alert Distributing and return shipping charges will be waived. The correct item will be sent at no charge within 1 business day based on availability. Incorrect items must be returned in the original packaging within 30 days. If not received in 30 days, the incorrect item will be invoiced, and the balance will be due.
Special orders for non-standard products and custom orders may not be returned.
All products sold by Alert Distributing are subject to the manufacturers’ warranty policy and Alert Distributing will assist in facilitating the warranty process. All warranty claims must be approved by Alert Distributing. If the claim is approved, a replacement will be sent at no charge.
Defective Item Returns
In the event Alert Distributing or the manufacturer needs the defective item to be returned, Alert Distributing will arrange the return freight at no cost to the customer. The customer has 30 days to return the defective item. If not received in 30 days, the defective item will be invoiced, and the balance will be due.
